KALYAN GHOSH
Chief Executive Officer

Kalyan Ghosh began his career with the Essar Group in 2005 at Essar Steel India. While there, he was Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management. Previously he worked at Tata Steel. A Technology graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology - Banaras Hindu University, Kalyan also holds a post graduate diploma in Management from All India Management Association and INSEAD. As well, Kalyan attended Wharton Business School, where he became qualified in Advanced Management.  

PRAMOD KUMAR SHUKLA
Chief Operating Officer

Pramod Shukla has been with the Essar Group since 2003 as Vice President of Cold Rolling Mill and Downstream Complex.  At Essar he has led the projects and operations functions. Previously he was with Tata Steel where he worked in a variety of roles and acquired deep knowledge and experience in flat roll operations, project management, equipment manufacturing for major projects, system automation, business process reengineering, TQM and quality systems.  

Pramod is a mechanical engineer from the Institute of Technology, Varanasi, India with a Masters in Business Administration from Xavier Labour Research Institute, Jamshedpur, India.  As Chief Operating Officer at Algoma he assumes accountability for the performance of all operational areas including central services, supply chain management and environment, safety and emergency services.

RAJAT MARWAH
Vice President Finance

Rajat Marwah joined the Essar Group in 2008 as General Manager of Finance and Cost at Essar Steel Algoma with accountability for the credit, cost, budget, pricing, planning and financial accounting divisions within his portfolio. He was appointed Vice President Finance in July 2012. Rajat began his career with KPMG and subsequently entered the steel industry as Financial Controller with Arcelor Mittal, Czech Republic.   He is a chartered accountant with international experience in Romania and India and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Sir Ram College of Commerce in Delhi.  In his current role Rajat is charged with overall accountability for all finance functions.

ROBERT W. DIONISI
Vice President, Commercial

Rob Dionisi began his career at Algoma Steel in 1979 and has held a number of varied and progressive positions within the commercial group, most recently as Director of Sales and previously as General Manager Plate & Shape Sales, and General Manager Service Centre & Fabrication Sales & Marketing.  He holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Laurentian University and is an active member of the Metals Service Centre Institute and the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction where he serves as a director on the Board.  In his current role Rob assumes accountability for all sales and marketing activities and the administration of Algoma's commercial offices in Calgary, Alberta, and Burlington, Ontario where he is based.

MARK NOGALO
Vice President, Operations

Mark Nogalo has been with Algoma since 1987 in a host of varied and progressive roles, most recently as Vice President, Major Projects, Engineering, Construction and Services.  His expertise lies in energy management, asset reliability and the execution of capital projects.  A professional engineer, Mark holds a Masters in Business Administration from Lake Superior State University and an undergrad in mechanical engineering from Queens University.  As Vice President of Operations, Mark assumes accountability for primary and flat roll operations and quality and technical services in addition to a multitude of capital projects associated with Essar Steel Algoma's expansion to 4 million tons.

JIM RENNIE
Vice President, Human Resources

Jim Rennie graduated from York University's Schulich School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Organizational Behaviour and Industrial Relations.  He also holds the designation of Certified Human Resources Professional with the Human Resources Professional Association.  He started his career in Human Resources at Algoma Steel concentrating on Labour Relations.  He then moved to the Pulp and Paper industry and held progressively more senior roles with E.B. Eddy Forest Products and Domtar, Inc concluding in the role of Director, Human Resources - Ontario. 

Mr. Rennie returned to Algoma Steel in late 2002 and he has held a number of managerial positions within the Human Resources department.  In August, 2010 he was promoted to Vice President, Human Resources with accountability to support Essar Steel Algoma's operations and commercial organizations through the integration of human resources strategies and programs with organizational objectives.
