The LEED Principle

The Canada Green Building Council encourages sustainable green building and development practices through the adoption of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principle.  Essar Steel Algoma supports this principle with the use of post-consumer and post-industrial recycled content in our manufacturing process. Conflict Minerals

The Conflict Minerals Trade Act discourages the use of minerals mined in conditions of armed conflict and human rights abuses.  Essar Steel Algoma supports this principle and adheres to the H.R. 4173 requirement in our purchasing practices.  For confirmation please click here.
